Features
- In the hatchery industry egg hygiene is one of the main considerations in improving hatchability.
- Egg washing is replacing the use of hazardous fogging practices using aldehydes, and can improve hatchability by ~3%.
- Egg Hygiene begins on the farm and needs to be strictly observed to prevent microbial contamination in nest boxes, storage areas and egg transportation vehicles.
- It is suitable for use on eating and hatching eggs. It is based on Chlorine release agents, specialised detergents and corrosion inhibitors designed to gently and safely remove organic soilage and sanitise eggs.
Directions for Use:
Prepare dipping solution by dissolving 6-10g product powder in every litre of water maintained at a temperature of 100°F (35°C). Place eggs in plastic or wire basket and immerse in product solution for 10-15 minutes. When using an oscillating machine, do not immerse eggs for more than 10 minutes. Avoid excessive washing of eggs, and prepare fresh solution after each cycle.
Do not rinse eggs; allow eggs to dry in the air to form a protective coating before setting or packing.
Replace with a fresh solution if product solution becomes visibly soiled.
